At the base camp, such a unique condition is created by the mountains that you are intimately connected to them. You only see panoramic and picturesque view of Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Annapurna IV, Annapurna South, Tent Peak, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna, and Annapurna South. Their beauty is indescribable, they draw your attention, and the only thing that you can do is to take their photos with your camera as much as you like and as far as you can reach to the corners of the base camp.
Annapurna Base Camp Trek begins from Nayapul a starting point, and from here, you cover a large distance of stone steps up to Ulleri. Sweating, blowing out air and absorbing the beautiful landscapes of the Annapurna region from mountains to hills to villages to lush forest to waterfalls, you head off to Annapurna Base Camp. Walking further leads to the emergence of region which is made of uphill trail, steel suspension bridges, less vegetation areas, dense forested areas, beautiful oak forest, and frequent bamboo forest, including the largest rhododendron forest of Nepal. In addition to these, after a descent hike from Ghorepani, you will reach Poonhill, which affords brilliant, amazing, and beautiful view of both Dhaulagiri Ranges and Annapurna Ranges. You will also see Fishtail Mountain, as well as, the mountain ranges bathing in sunlight.
Off all the villages that the trail of Annapurna Base Camp Trek takes you to, Sinuwa village is calm, peaceful, and scenic. Its background mountains include Fishtail and Gangapurna. Day 01
Kathmandu to Nayapul (1070m) 7 Hours Drive
Early Morning 7 AM : 15 Minute Taxi Ride to Intercity bus station and take a Microbus to Nayapul (1070m).Its about 8 hours drive on the Nepal’s Best Himalayan Highway, strar the Trekking for 45 Minutes : Overnight Stay at Hotel at Banthathi
Day 02
Nayapul to Tikhedhunga (1480 M. ) 5 Hours walking on foot
Distance is pretty easy beginning of Poon hill trek with mind blowing driving and sightseeing from Pokhara to Nayapul. Nayapul to Tikhedhunga trek distance is 9.2 kilometers / 5.7 miles. It takes 5 hours to reach Tikhedhungafrom Nayapul
Day 03
TikheDhunga - Ghorepani (2,850m/9,350ft), 6 hrs DISTANCE 12.9KM
Cross suspension metal bridge and steep ascent on stone staircases to the village of Ulleri – and an amazing landscape of valley floor where we came during the day with marvelous views of Annapurna South and Hiunchuli.
Steep trek for about 2hrs will take us to Ulleri (2070m). We will cross the Magar village of Banthanti from where we can get spectacular views of Machhapuchhre Mountain (6997m), Hiunchuli Mountain (6441m) and Annapurna South Mountain (7219m). We will cross the small river and climb to Nangethanti. We will arrive at Ghorepani from where we can get soaring views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Annapurna I and other mountains.
Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani trek is a part of the Poon hill trek which provides an excellent view of the Annapurna and the Dhaulagiri range. Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani distance is 12.9 kilometers / 8 miles. It takes 6 to 7 hours to reach Ghorepani
Day 04
Walk up Poon hill (3,210m/10,528ft). Ghorepani – Tadapani (2,520m/8268ft), 7 hours 12km
Poonhill is popular for best sunrise view in Pokhara. We will rise very early and reach the base of Poonhill. About an hour of climb will take us to Poonhill viewpoint. We can get sunrise view over Dhaulagiri Mountain (8167m), Annapurna I Mountain (8091m), Annapurna II Mountain (7937m), Annapurna III Mountain (7855m), Annapurna IV Mountain (7525m), Annapurna South Mountain (729m), Nilgiri Mountain (6940m), Tukuche Mountain (6920m), Varaha Shikhar (7847m), Lamjung Himal (6931m) and other mountains. We will return to hotel in Ghorepani for breakfast and then take descending trail to Tadapani village from where we can get views of Annapurna South, Annapurna II, Fishtail and other mountains.
The day starts with a steep downhill through rhododendron forests. Leaving Tadapani, we descend through the forests and then the trail eases as we reach Gurjung which is the village of Gurung people. From here it is an easy walk to Chomrong at an elevation of 2,140 m.
Day 06
Trek to Himalaya Hotel (2,950 m) - 6 hours
Today the trail drops down to the Chomrong Khola and again we continue climbing to Khuldighar at 2,380 m where there used to be an ACAP (Annapurna Conservation Area) check post. There is a clearing in the forest a little further on, from which, the route travels very steeply down a rock bank, then levels out, running through thickets of bamboo at the bottom of the gorge, keeping always on the west side of the river. We walk through bamboo and rhododendron forests to the Himalayan Hotel.
Day 07
Trek to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130 m) - 7 hours
Today the trail climbs on past the Hinko Cave, Deurali and then Machapuchare Base Camp, which isn’t really a base camp since climbing Mt Machapuchare is not permitted. Since it is totally surrounded by mountains, this area is known as the Annapurna Sanctuary. Two hours trek from Machapuchare Base Camp takes us to the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) at elevation of 4,130 m. There, we will view unobstructed views of mountain scenery, which is very spectacular.
Trek from Bamboo to Jhinu Danda 1,780m/ 5,839ft. – 5 Hours. Trek from Bamboo to Jhinu Danda 1,780m/ 5,839ft, which will take approximately 5 hours. We continue to retrace our steps through the rhododendron and bamboo forest, where the trail descends very steeply from Chhomrung to Jhinu Hot Springs. You can relax in the natural hot springs at Jhinu, where we stay overnight at a lodge.
Trek from Jhinu Danda to Nayapul – 5 Hours, and drive back to Pokhara – 1 Hour.Today is our final day of trekking where we will walk all the way back to Nayapul, which will take approximately 5 hours, walking on the right side of the Modi Khola, which is one of the most relaxing walks of the entire trip. From Nayapul, we will get in to the car and take the hour drive back to Pokhara, where we will stay overnight in the hotel.
Day 11
Early morning walk aside by Phewa lake for an hour and You will have Breakfast, then Leave for Kathmandu at 9 AM by Micro bus. It takes about 6 hours to arrive in Kathmandu.
