Annapurna Conservation Area Project Permit also known as ACAP Permit that costs Nepali Currency Rupees 3000 (USD 25) and permits are required to get Entry inside of Annapurna Conservation Area Project which was establised in 1986, the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) also the first Conservation Area and largest Protected Area in Nepal. It covers an area of 7,629 sq. km. and is home to over 100,000 residents of different cultural and linguistic groups. ACAP is rich in biodiversity and is a treasure house for 1,226 species of flowering plants, 105 mammals, 518 birds, 40 reptiles and 23 amphibians.
Annapurna Conservation Area is Nepal's largest protected area covering 7,629 km² in the Annapurna range of the Himalayas. It ranges in elevation from 790 m to the peak of Annapurna I at 8,091 m. The conservation area stretches across Manang, Mustang, Kaski, Myagdi, and Lamjung Districts.
