The new height of the Mount Everest is 8848.86 meters (29,032 feet). On 8 December in 2020, the new height of Mt. Everest (also known as Sagarmatha) was released.
The Mt. Everest Height Re-Measurement Expedition was organized by the Survey Department of Nepal and led by Er. Khimlal Gautam and Mr. Tshiring Jangbu Sherpa as the climbing guide.
The summit team spent ~2 hours on the summit to collect precise data. GNSS device was used to collect the precious data.
