All Regular flight to Lukla Airport in Everest Himalayas Region has been rerouted From Kathmandu Airport to Manthali (Ramechhap) Airport effectively from Today, Saturday, March 15, 2023 until Further Notice.
Reason of Rerouted Airport: The flight change has been made due to an increase in international flights in and out of Kathmandu Airport and the deviation of the Lukla fixed wing flights to Manthali (Ramechhap) airport is an effort to ease heavy air traffic issues.

Ramechhap (Manthali) Airport is located in headquarter of Ramechhap district of Province No. 3 in Nepal. Ramechhap Airport is also known as Manthali Airport.
Manthali Airport, located 132 km northeast of Kathmandu, is about 5 hours Deluxe Jeep drive (For normal Regular Vehicle it takes about 6 Hours ) from Kathmandu City. The airport is situated at an elevation of 474 meters above sea level and has a 518-metre runway.

Manthali airport is a domestic airport that lies towards 132 km east of Kathmandu at the capital of Ramechhap district.
