The Official New Height of Mount Everest is 8,848.86 meters effective from Tuesday, December 8, 2020 as today, Nepal and China jointly made an official announcement of new height of Mount Everest after both countries recently measured the World's tallest Mountain.

Till the date a Total of 6,507 Mountaineers have summited Mount Everest from the Nepal side since Tenzing Norgey Sherpa and Edmand Hillary successfully summited  world's highest peak on 29 May, 1953, becoming the first people to stand atop The World's highest Mountain.
